Seat replacement

So I just upgraded my 2017 harley ultra seat to a mustang seat. The passenger strap is too long now. Whats the best way to go about fixing this issue just leave it off?

Yup, on an ultra it has never been used. Only on a bike without trunk or sissy bar.

Drill another hole. Cut off the excess.

As stated above. It won't be needed unless you want to tuck something under it.

I thought about that was just wondering what is normally done as I normally use it to strap my lunch box to the seat .
