Default Just a quick tip...

I'm not usually one for "hey, check out this product!", but I think these could come in handy for a lot of people here: These
connectors connectors
saved the day for me! I used them in a recent handlebar upgrade and they worked great! They crimp AND they have adhesive heat-shrink which will help keep them weather proof! Absolutely wonderful! Hope they work for you too!

crimp splices are great. Solder splices are even better check them out. They take the hassle of crimping

Those were included in my Dirty Bird Money Shot head light I just installed on my bike. They seems like a great product, I went old school though since I was splicing into my directional wires and 1 power wire.

Those of us with snowmobile trailers discovered those long ago. They are great!

I have them in numerous sizes and types... I use Anchor Marine brand.. they are very popular in the Marine Industry

I use them all the time when installing anything electrical on my boat...!

Crimp connectors are quick and clean. Use the correct tool/size to install and once fitted give the lead a good tug to ensure the lead is firmly anchored and not wiggle loose.

I'm a crimp first solder second. Crimping is preferred in many instances in other Industries.

There are many connectors very similar to that and some that even have solder inside in the shrink over the top.

Cute foot by the way in the right of the picture lol

I like to use a little dab of dielectric grease inside that connector, and all is well.
It's a little extra protection from moisture and corrosion.

I solder everything then use shrink tube. It was drilled into me many years ago when I work in an auto electric repair shop through high school.
