Default Cruise control - 2016 Streetglide

Hi
I normally hold down the cruise, it goes orange, I set it , it goes green and holds at that speed. When Im behind someone or in a group, to keep the same speed as the guy ahead, I push up the button and it knocks up the speed 1 or 2 km/h to keep it even. It no longer engages when I tap the button up, it stays at the same speed. I can tap it down and it goes down (can feel it kicking in and slowing down)
hope this makes sense, anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks!

Go into radio diagnostics mode & select the button/switch function menu & verify the switch is working. If the switch works, then it will be on the output side. Could be a bad wire or ?

Typical canned response when someone is just looking for a little knowledge. Yeah they can take it in under warranty to be fixed, but that means they can’t ask what is going wrong?

OP, the Rushmore touring bikes have issues with the switch packs malfunctioning causing switches to stop working (seems to be more problems with the left side from seeing threads on the issue). With the newer Canbus system, the whole switch pack has to be changed out, they can’t just cut and splice in a new switch. My kill switch stopped shutting the engine off after 1800 miles or so. At first it was intermittent, then stopped all together. The switch pack was replaced and there’s been no issues since.

So are you saying he should just replace the switchpack himself because the dealer won't tell him what was done to fix the problem???

The dealer sure will tell him what was done to fix it, and an invoice saying what parts were used as well as what was covered by warranty!

Dealer has always explained what the problem was and what was done to fix it. Any parts kept for warranty work were shown to me. Not sure who you have been seeing. Mine 2017 is in right now Speedo and tach (RGU) are being chnaged under warranty for moisture issue.
