So, hunting for a aftermarket windshield. I've seen LRS and their huge discount special. Like others I've called them and their pretty much non-responsive, vuessing over welmed with business. Searching I located another brand Windvest, and saw their local to me. So, went their and was able to try different size windshields 9, 10 & a 12". Drove out on the interstate from 0-80 mph. I drove south with the wind to me back, u turned and headed back northbound into the wind. I definetly still had noticeable helmet buffeting on the way back north with the all 3 sizes, with maybe the 12" having slightly less. Should there be 0 buffeting, or will there always be some with all brands? Any experience with this brand? Is this not a good brand-design?

i'm running the harley 12'' wind splitter. i get zero buffeting. i also have the crash bar mounted deflectors, and fairing lowers. for me, i get great wind management. however, all peeps are different and what works for one, will not work for all. but, once you get it figured out, it's great....
you don't mention what you've tried, and what year your bike is.
I am sure they help with buffeting (?) but they are butt ugly IMO.

No kidding and sometimes I wonder if when some folks start such threads that they understand what buffeting is.
But, OP should be more specific about his height and bike. There are other ways to help a Road Glide. I am currently on my 3rd Road Glide with a 4th very possible in the near future. These are very easy to cut down on wind management in the cockpit if you will.

Open the vents on the lowers, the 'wind in the face' isn't what everyone makes it out to be.
Not sure the vendor I bought this shortie shield from, but I really do like it.
Only downside is being caught in the rain, and road rocks and any other flying object find their way into your face more easily,

Dude come on. You ride a Road Glide. It was ugly when you bought it.
Seriously, with the right tint it will look great. The look will grow on you, just like your ugly *** Road Glide. (admit it, there was a time in your life where you could not believe why anyone would buy one.)
This subject is not brought up much now that the Rushmore/M8 bikes are out with vents.
But back in the day when no one except the select few who knew the true secret of the superior handling of the Road Glide and actually had them before it was super cool. Would install the following, Dog Bowl deflector, Engine Guard wind deflectors, Lower Fairings, and a curved style wind screen.
Without a doubt, we are on a two wheel motorcycle and one would expect wind. But there is a big difference between clean air and buffering air.
My 2009 CVO FLTRSE3 came with a Dog Bowl Deflector, added Fairing Lowers and the Engine Guard wind deflectors, and a 10" Windvest windscreen. I haven't changed a thing, simply Nirvana!
