Riding to Laconia last week and after about 8 hrs of driving the GPS screen turned orange and showed Sync Failed, has anyone else experienced this? Had Laconia HD look at it and they indicated that the Dealership where I purchase the bike failed to let the 6.5 radio/Nav software update fully... They updated to the latest updates and on the way home today the same error appeared????

Sounds more like a GPS antenna issue. Antenna coax may not be fully seated in the radio or the antenna may not be mounted optimally. If you're up to it, pull the outer fairing & check the GPS antenna & coax connection. Otherwise, take it back for warrantee.
I'm just wondering if the Boom! was trying to sync with your phone. Other than that, did you have a USB thumb drive connected with routes loaded on it? Were you using routes you had downloaded to the unit? I'm just grasping for straws here.
Thanks for the information but no to all. I did have a route in the GPS, however it was uploaded days earlier, no USB. When I arrived in Laconia the Harley Dealer indicated that it looked like a bad software update. It happened 5 times going to Laconia, but after they completed the update it only happened once after 9 hrs riding.
Are you sure this is a navigation issue and not a phone sync issue?
The crazy thing you said about phone sync. My phone has been taking long to connect to the bike. I would have to go to media and connect it myself.. Could this also be to the antenna as well
