Has anyone ever heard of anyone installing 2009-2013 style exhaust pipes that go under the frame on a 2003-2007 Street Glide, Road Glide or Road king? I saw a guy with a 2003 RK with that new style header piped on his bike. I would like to do it on my 2006 Street Glide. Thanks for the info in advance.
Khrome Works, S&S, and freedom performance all make headers that go under the frame. Look at J and P cycles. Probably easier and you wont have to gut the cat from the stock head pipe. Just my thought.

Unless you like to work on things and want to save $$$, this is the way to go.
I do like to work on things and save money, so I put a 2010+ stock header from craigslist on my 2002 FLHT last winter. You will need to also upgrade to a newer oil pan, which you can also find cheap on ebay. I cut the cat out of the newer pipe and really like how it turned out. All in, I probably spent half what it would have cost to get the S&S pipe.

The MOST scary part of the project is you have to drill and tap a couple holes for the bracket the supports the pipe that goes under the frame...
I did mine over the winter and have had no leaks though...
