Default 18' Road Glide - Need help finding a windshield

Hey guys,

I bought a brand spanking new 18' Road Glide today in vivid black! Ive owned a Harley in every family except for the touring family. I gotta say, I wish I didn't take this long to jump on the bandwagon! What a bike! I bought a new 18' fat bob a couple months back. They picked it up yesterday for an oil leak, I went into the dealer today to talk to them about it, ended up leaving with a new scoot. LOL. Wasn't expecting that!

Anyway, I need to change my windshield! I had some slight turbulence with the stock shield on my helmet.

For reference, I am 5'8" with a 30" inseam.

I was looking at the Klock Werks 12" Pro Tour or the 14" sport. Will I be able to look over these with my height? I absolutely cannot tolerate buffeting. It drives me nuts having my open face helmet and glasses rattle. Should I be looking at Freedom shields or Memphis shades instead??? Or given my height, should I be looking at different heights for the shield?

Thanks for the help!! I know this has probably been posted a million times already but after spending a couple hours searching, I haven't found any solid answers.

I’m your same height and inseam. I have a 2017 Road Glide Ultra. I had my seat modified by Mean City Cycles so I sit about an inch lower than stock. I do not like looking through a windshield. My 10 inch LRS Thresher shield works perfectly for me. Plenty of look over and the recurve takes everything over my head.

Thanks

I have struggled with the same issue with my Road Glide for nearly a year. The 10 inch LRS has sucked and kept waiting for them to come out with a shorter one which they said they would by mid year this year. Fugem. Finally bought a 5.5 inch Memphis Shades shield and waiting for it to arrive. Have been a big LRS fan for years and have had a bunch of their shields but if they can't recognize the needs of the customer base, screw them. Hate looking through a shield and I slouch.

Check out freedom shields. John will get you the right height shield based on your bike, height, and inseam. I have the 14 inch on my RGU and love it.

OK, first off, many of use have more than 1 shield...Sadly I have 4 Stock is fun for wind in your face. I have a Memphis Shades 6.5 inch shield that blocks some wind for me, and I can hear the stereo much better. I have a 13" Freedom Touring shield, that is the one I use for summer touring, and a 14 inch LRS Thresher for winter. The one in my signature picture is the Memphis Shades, the one in my profile is the Freedom

See, easy I'm 5'10" by the way.
