My brother-in-law is looking for a FLHX in vivid black. Anywhere on the northeast coast. Not looking for any extra trim/ accessories other than how the bike comes from the factory.
Can anyone give some advise on what he can expect $$$, best deal out there, and a dealer to recommend?
There are deals out there. My dealer in has only marked down the discountinued models, wide glide, softail standard and so on....Call around. Someone will move one under msrp by the end of the month. You could wait until the third week of july and get a great deal on a 2007, but I would bet the black will be hard to find.
I located a dealer within reasonable limits @ $17,500.00 without prep & freight. Has rear backrest, upgrade grpis and AM/FM-CD player. Vivid Black Out-the-door number. Is this a solid number??
Yes, I think that is very fair. Remeber you can also get the financing special at 2.99-4.99% for 36-60 months. Just dont wait to long beecause you are going to have to take from dealer stock on the 2007s.
I searched most dealers from NY border to RI along the shore. I ended-up with Brother's in Branford, CT (which I was liking anyway since I live in the area). Go in there and talk to Michael...he's a good guy and won't dick around with nickels and dimes...you'll get a fair deal and some discounting...no mater how ya slice it, at least when I looked, they eventually all get to withinfew hundred $ of MSRP with no prep, etc etc... If ya wait till the '08's are out you may benefit though! (August?)
