i like the fat cats... sound great... perform great... BUT
having a problem with muffler pulling off the pipe about a half inch... tightened the little 10mm bolt till she snapped.... put a new longer one in... its still pulling off... figure ill call them and figure out what the fix is..... 4 hours later and 3 calls to them, no return call! bet if i was calling with card in hand to buy they would of called back by now.... frustrating
Get ya a piece of beer can and wrap the head pipe where the exhaust slips on and crank her tight. You might not get a full wrap but trial and error you will get it tight.
well i finally got to talk to them around 4 pm..... they changed clamps to an upgraded style, not noticing that the slit cuts on the muffler were not long enough for the new wider clamp.... the fix is the cut the slits a little further so the clamp actually tightens the muffler.... they took care of me, resolved my issue and are gonna make changes on the others so they will clamp strong....
asside from being frustrated due to unable to get someone on the phone.... once i did they were quick to resolve issues without questions asked....
I slotted my muff with a longer cut with a hack saw which allows better compression, and the also used a little high temp silicone to seal it up. Lastly, I drilled the rear mount and installed a stop block so that it can't slide back on me again. Life is good!
