Default Helmet less headset

I am looking for a headset that doesn't require a helmet. I have a 03 Ultra Classic and haven't been able to use the CB/Intercom because I don't wear a helmet in Wisconsin. The helmet I do own for road trips into states with helmet laws is a half helmet and the head set that came with the bike doesn't fit on it. I saw a guy with one on a month ago but when I ask him where he found it he said surf the internet well let me tell Ya I have been search the internet for the past three days off and on more on than off.

Check out this link:

http://www.imc-electronics.com/harley.html

Look at the model HHS-40.

I know nothing about these and have had no experience with the product. I ran across them while surfing the net for a helmetless headset for the new Ultra I was going to buy. However, the buyer of my '04 RK Classic backed out and I didn't buy the Ultra.

Maybe someone else on this forum has some other ideas. Good Luck!

Harley also sells a handset so you could hear through your speakers but then you have to pick up the handset to talk.

Here is another for a half helmet. Should work without helmet too. Don't own it, so can't speak for quality.

Taxman,

I posted a link above for a headset, but I don't have a set myself yet. I thought I might buy a set for the wife and I before spring. I would be very interested in what you decided to buy and more important, the sound quality after you use them. We both listen to the stereo when traveling, so sound quality is important.

Thanks, Jerry

Default Headsets

I would also like to know what brand and model was purchased. I have an 09 FLHX and am seriously considering adding the CB and Intercom options, but use a half helmet. I have had a hard time finding any headsets that say they will work for what I am wanting.

Still waiting for a wireless adapter for the Harley Stereo..
Who of you likes being tethered to the bike by a phone cord on steroids?
A bluetooth adapter on the back of the stock HK stereo would do that...
