hey guys, quick question, does anyone know of a gps that I can use to ride a certain route and then save it somehow....I don't want to enter different points and have it calculate a route, id like to ride it and then be able to save the route somehow to a gps, not my iPhone.....thanks for any info...ryan
download the H-D Rideplanner App. and sign into that.
on the bottom of your phone screen is a squiggly line icon with a flag. tap on that, there is a selection on the bottom for "Record Ride" Tap, then tap "Start Recording"
you can turn off your screen on the phone if you want the app keeps recording.
when you are done, hit "Stop" then save your ride. just give it any name you want, you can always change it later.
Then when you go back home and sign into the website from your computer, the saved route should appear.
My Garmin GPS (660 Zumo) has the ability to record your trip log. You can then view it, save it, share it, etc. I use the trip log feature when I go riding with friends and I'm not familar with the roads. I can then save the route and ride it again at a later time (or modify the route) and ride specific roads again.
