I am interested to see if there are still old school HD guys who are still in love with all the Chrome on your bike? I am of the new generation I think that LOVES blacked out bikes. I used to be a chrome guy, but not any longer!!!!
I am torn on the whole blacked out look. I don't care for it on the bigger/more expensive bikes, (Heritage/Road Kings etc) but I've seen a few smaller HD's like the Sportster 1200's, 48's etc that look OK
I'm not sure what school I belong to, but I've been blacking out bikes, cars, and trucks for the last 40+ years. I'll continue to do so until someone comes up with something darker.😎
I like both...depends on the bike. I like the Mako blue paint scheme, but I also like black and blue color combo.
What I do think is the marketing strategy of the century is that HD is charging more for painted parts than chrome. Must be cheaper to purchase/manufacture than chrome...bravo marketing gurus!

I"m 56 and old school, Black & chrome motor with well placed black accents on the bike (signals, console, possibly exhaust heat shields). Chrome front end with contrast (black/chrome wheels). I hate the total blacked out look.
