Hey everyone, recently swapped my 02 Roadking for a 17. Love the scoot absolutly hate the bars. WTF were they thinking with these bars? Want to do a quick inexpensive swap 10" - 12" something that will not require anything other than unbolting and unpluging the controls and reattching them. . Any recomendations are appreciated. Thanks everyone.
Something in the 10" range will swap right on and require no extensions, but you'll still have to run the throttle wire through the bars no matter what.

Before you spend any money, have you tried adjusting them? They can move through quite a wide range of positions and may surprise you......
About 10 times now and just love that you have to remove the headlight now to do it. Stock bars are just too narrow and have that funky bend at the wrist.
These are great for comfort and to get the bars a little closer. Simple swap with no new cables or brake lines. Nice price too compared to designer bars. I have them on my 08 and love the wrist angle and reach.

There are 1 in 1,000 people that are perfectly happy with the stock bars on any Harley. Okay, maybe 1 in 100,000. Whatever. Just figure out what bars you want and get the correct cable length if necessary.
Just looking for some feedback on what people are running with and how happy/sad they are with their choice. Lots of options and really no practical way of trying them all out before purchasing...
Sorry about that. I had no idea that was the stock bar on the newer RK's. What is that you don't like about them? The wrist angle or the reach? Anything else you add for reach looks like it's going to require cables and hoses. Not the simple bolt on/off you are looking for. If it's the reach that's your problem, have you considered a new seat? Stock seats suck and I guarantee you will want to change eventually if you haven't already. Maybe a seat that moves you forward a little would make all the difference and give your butt a better ride as well. The seat is real easy to change and is a huge improvement in comfort.
