Boom 6.5 GTS Headset info
so far I've discovered on my own
1. A headset has to be plugged in for apple car play to work
2. my older 7 pin headset still works on my 2019 FLHTK but will not activate apple car play only the new wired headset that came with the bike.
Question: has anyone tried the new stereo with any 3rd party headsets ie. IMC?
and finally I am considering investing in the Sena Freewire (I already own a sena 20s headset). Does anyone know if Apple Carplay will begin to function with the free wire device plugged in?

It does work but I found that there is a delay and then Siri times out sometimes. Ive had the best results with the plug in vs Bluetooth. Ive used a better headset. And although they are supposed to be better there isnt that much difference in audio quality. I just went back to the Harley headset and I get them half price on eBay.

I bought the Freewire but have not tested it yet as I don't like any of the Sena headsets that it functions with (I wear a half helmet or no helmet.) Actually considering selling it. I paid $140 if you're interested in buying it.

Does the headset from a 2018 work, or has there even a change to the 2019 headsets. The part number on the box is the same...
