Default Ignition Issue

occassionally my starter button on RH handlebar sdoes not work. Requires me to turn ignition and off a number of times b4 it will start.

I did have my bike flashed for a RF amp.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yup ,happens to mine if it sits for a week or so...not often during riding season. I usually have to turn it to a cerain spot for it to work. Its on the list of winter maintenance items to be replaced.

Thanks for responding.

The bike does sit for a week sometimes and I will see if there is a relationship to this.

I also lost the heated grips on my bike after the flash so that is why I went in the direction. Could be a coincidence.

Long ago was stranded due to funk'd starter switch now all my rides have one of these. Can be found for around half JP's price if you look around. Just be sure you're in neutral before the button is pushed. Found that out the hard way.

That's not a solution!

Your bike seems to have an electrical problem, so solve it, or find a man who can.

Wow!! I do not believe I used the word "solution". However, what I posted is definitely a damn good workaround should a starter button/switch fail while out on the road. Opinions are like asses and elbows.....everyone has them.
