I just ordered the JNR air ride kit and I was wondering if a different kick stand is necessary. I read some people have went with the short but its not necessary. If any one has experience that could help it would be much appreciated.
off topic here but can you post your experience with the ride quality?
I was considering JNR air ride...i was wondering if you have to dump the air to park it or park it for longer periods of time like over night.
A guy I ride with made a change in foot boards an the kick stand interfered with the new foot boards, the HD mechanic said he can bend it to work if he's ok with it...so he did an it worked....guess I'm saying you can get some leverage on the factory stand an add some angle to it if necessary.

no

I have had a JNR setup for over a year now. Never an issue with the stock jiffy stand. I park the bike, put it on the side stand and then release the air. I don’t drop the bike every time I park though. In the garage, overnight when on the road and occasionally in a parking lot for the cool factor. I have left it up for as much as a week with no issues.
As far as ride quality I love it over stock. I’m 6’00 and 250 pounds and it rides so smooth that I notice I need to do something to the front end now. Wife never rides with me so I can’t comment on 2up riding.
nearly 2 years of ownership on my JNR air ride and no issues with side stand.. I also don't drop it every time I park either..
I can see an issue with it dropped all the way if you aren't on level ground as the bike does stand up pretty straight with all of the air out..
with that said if you haven't added the grip switch you should do that too before you do your install, also if you are interested
I did a photo extensive HOW TO install their whole kit for my web site.. shoot me a message and I will send you the link..
the ride is AMAZING to say the least over the SO CALLED premium hand adjustable.. as far as im concerned JNR is the
best bang for your buck and to this date nearly 2 years after I bought my bike it is still the best $474 ( w/gripswitch ) that I have
spent on my street glide
Awesome, Thank you for everyones input. I also spoke to JNR today and they said they never had issues with the stock stand either. I just wanted to be totally prepared when the kit arrives. I'm very excited to see the ride improvement over the stock shocks!
