I do question the upgrade and sale but mileage is relative. I’ve worked on so many bikes with 20,000 miles and five years old or newer that I wouldn’t touch with a five foot pole, it all depends on how well it was taken care of. For instance, mine is a 2015 103 CI with over 60,000 miles and I see no issues at all getting to 120,000 miles. Ask to see his service records. Whether he did it or not, he should still have records.

I would pass on that bike as well. Not interested in buying someone's problems or projects, I like to start with a clean slate particularly a stock motor.

It would have to be cheap. Sounds like a project to me. I'd look for a low mileage bike, like less than 1/2 the miles on that one. If it was a steal of a deal and you want to take it on ok. Get it checked out before sealing the deal, but the engine work and miles would be a concern to me.
