I have a set of Cardo Freecom2 which works great.
Total waterproof and the volume can be set to rise with the loudness of hiway speeds. 2 nice features to have.
Good luck in your search.
somewhat off topic but I cant find an answer to this question from Cardo re the Freecom2: does the music stop when talking or does it just fade to the back?

There are a lot of threads on here about Bluetooth headsets and the group tends to skew toward either Sena or Scala depending on personal preferences, experiences, etc.
I have had Sena units for the last 5+ years and we've been happy with them. I have never used the Scala units.
My recommendation is to check with others you ride with. Regardless of advertised "interoperability", you'll have your best luck communicating with your buddies if you are all using the same brand.
Your location is set to Orlando. I'm in the Tampa area. Feel free to direct message me if you want to chat about my experiences - rider only, rider/passenger, groups up to 8.
Also, does your handle imply an interest in Mustangs as well? We bought my wife her dream car this year, a '65 coupe.
We have the Sena SMH 10s. My wife rides her own, and communications work fantastic!
We can also connect to our phones, so can stream music from Sirius XM, Pandora, or what we have loaded, answer calls and use Siri.
Get turn by tuen gos direction. And can control ffd, rwd and got to next song from that handlebar controls on my 15 RG.
Thay have ave been awesome units for us, only draw back is it limits 4 connections. So I you have more people in your riding group than that, you cant add them.
I have ave the H-D helmet made to accept it, nd that is a big plus with the built into in.
We are growing tired of the wired intercom on our 09 Ultra Ltd. Is anyone sold on their aftermarket intercom system? Can you send/receive calls, talk to passenger, other riders. Best bang for the buck?
Happy Thanksgiving
I do have a Mustang interest. My first car was a 65 coupe. Had it for 30 days. It's a long/short/sad story. Have had another since. Maybe another in the future...
Has anybody tried the WHIM with the Cardo (Freecom) system? Just curious if is compatible.
There was a video on YouTube showing a PackTalk being recognized by the WHiM, but that's all. Bluetooth communications is a standard, so it technically should work fine, with the exception that H-D added ID Checking to see if your headset is H-D branded or not - and when it's not you won't get stereo. It's not a hardware limitation - H-D purposely degrades the audio to try to force you to buy their own headsets. You might try a Sena Freewire instead. Just make sure you buy it from a place that will allow you to return it if it doesn't work.
