Default Intercom / Bluetooth

We are growing tired of the wired intercom on our 09 Ultra Ltd. Is anyone sold on their aftermarket intercom system? Can you send/receive calls, talk to passenger, other riders. Best bang for the buck?
Happy Thanksgiving

I would recommend the Sena 20s evo. Works well for us for everything you need. Check out YouTube for info.

Buddy of mine swears by his Cardo Scala Packtalk unit. Says phone calls are clear and music is good. Claims you can have a talk group of 15. I am considering a Cardo Smartpack which can handle four people connected, sinks to phone via bluetooth. I have no real knowledge of them so let us know what you go with.

I have sena20's and like them. I will say that it took me a long time to learn how to use them, and at first I wished I had not bought them. Now I will never go back to a cord.

I use Sena 10s and they work great. If I was doing it again, I get the 20s but the 10s is good enough I can't justify that.

Cardo packtalk. Best system out there. Their dmc network is amazing. You talk like normal and calls and music fade in and out in the background.

I wear two different helmets depending on the time of year and temperatures.

That said right now I’m using my Shoei J-Cruise. I really hate to be wired into the headset, plus the HD speakers will not fit this helmet as they are too large. The cord is just a hassle to me and my wife doesn’t like it either.

That said I have been researching Bluetooth units and have decided Sena is at the top of the list. Plus they make a unit specifically for my helmet and for other top quality helmets.

I just ordered the 10U for my helmet which is a perfect fit.

This will allow the wife to hear the XM radio through the speakers of the bike as normal without interruption and at the same time allow me to make and receive calls and listen to navigation prompts from the phone wirelessly.

Looking ahead I hope the wife will consider a unit for her helmet just for communications. She just doesn’t embrace technology like I do.

Ride on

I have a set of Cardo Freecom2 which works great.
Total waterproof and the volume can be set to rise with the loudness of hiway speeds. 2 nice features to have.
Good luck in your search.

In many ways one of the Cardo systems beats SENA in about every way. Do your home work different models different features. I made a big mistake switching from Cardo to Sena.
