Default HogWorkz LED headlight flickering question

Has anybody installed the HogWorkz Daymaker style headlight and fog lights and experience “ flickering” only when starting? Mine flicker only when I start my bike (2011 FLHTCU). Love the lights but just wondering if this might be a problem. Thanks guys

I replaced my Head light bulb with a RIVCO LED in my Sportster 8-2016 noticed some time this yr it started flickering But, quits in a few seconds. called the company they had no ideal why. Still working with 0 problems 11-2018 so, I don't worry about it.
I doubled checked connections,

Mine have never "flickered" (that I'm aware of ) while starting. But it seems to me (I can't really remember for sure) that they do go out as I start the bike. I don't really notice as I usually start the bike outside in the daylight. Sorry I can't confirm, but the bike is in winter storage.

Did you ground the black wire from the Aux lights to the Turn Signal well? I soldered mine

Thanks for all the replies and Circa58 mine are grounded. I went for a ride today and did noticed that some bikes lights flickered and some didn’t, not sure if it is the difference in the years the bikes were manufactured or if it’s the difference in the lights themselves. Thanks again guys

Coming from the Jeep world I can tell you that most of the aftermarket LED Jeep lights flicker. The solution is to order anti- flicker devices. They are small inline modules that are plug and play and they alleviate the situation. Not sure exactly how they work but I believe they are some type of resistor that evens out the power delivery to the light. They're easily found on Amazon.

Your lights flickering while starting may simply be due to a short-term voltage drop, while the starter is turning the engine over. Many of our bikes have modern electrical stuff that is much more sensitive to such changes than earlier accessories. As an example my first EFI bike was a BMW four, which would happily turn over on a tired battery, but the EFI wouldn't wake up, so the engine couldn't fire or start. It may be worth checking your connectors and ground connections, just to make sure everything is ship-shape.
