I got myself a 2019 RGS myself also. I put on some S&S Mk 45 and like them. I kept the Mustang wide solo seat from my old bike. I add the passenger seat when the daughter is along otherwise it is just the solo seat. I rode 800 miles home from Sturgis on that seat with no problems. I love it!
Get the part number for the seat from an Ultra. It's a great seat and can be had for about 200 bucks. I had one on my old ultra that I could ride for days and never had a problem. It will be even better with a back rest.
Try the sundowner seat my wife loves ours.
I had a Mustang ....awful seat, I don't understand why people like them.
Your dealer should have try and ride program.
I have the same bike: Has anyone tried or use the reach seat? Part number 52000334..... I'm 5'8 and want something I can flat foot with the wife on the back and at the same time keep her happy.
Reach seat? Just go with the Hammock? (probably the most comfortable) or save a few and get the Sundowner?
Seats: Stock was no go (for both prior RK and current RG) for the wife, and Corbin too hard for the wife. CVO-style great for me but not passenger. Sundowner a lot better. Now we are on Hammock, and will stick with that!
Exhaust: First note that the M8 won’t sound like EVO or even Twink. New mufflers will help a little. Cam will give it a little lope. But the old “potato-potato” is unfortunately lost. I went with SE cannons and 447 cam (with SE tuner to maintain powertrain warranty).
