Don't have a deluxe anywhere around here I can look at.
But still it does look like a tombstone.
They were offering an adapter for some of them to replace the
stock light.
Myself I cut a piece of inner tube and mounted it inside the fender
and centered the light. You would have to look very close to see that
the light wasn't meant for that fender opening.

Like Biggzed stated it is the stock tail light setup on the Heritage Deluxe. Deprnding on your rear fender setup it may not work without some modifications.
