Taking kids to disney and such for a week in January and I’m going to haul my roadking down to florida with me.
Anybody have recommendations for good rides/motorcycle activities?
I have had bikes in Florida a few times, north to about where you will be. This is the only place that was mildly entertaining.
State Road A1A (SR A1A) is a north-south Florida State Road that runs along the Atlantic Ocean, from Key West at the southern tip of Florida, to Fernandina Beach, just south of Georgia on Amelia Island. It is the main road through most oceanfront towns. Part of SR A1A is designated the A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway, a National Scenic Byway.
My girlfriend and I are heading to Orlando tomorrow for New Year’s Eve at Epcot. We were going to ride the bike (I live in N. FL) but considering the holiday traffic, we’ll probably take the car instead.
Stick to the middle of the state, if you are in Orlando head northeast....anywhere around Orlando will suck...and there’s not too many roads south of Orlando nd it’s overcrowded.....maybe one day head to siesta beach...one of the better locations.

If you don't already have reservations and money spent, stay away from Orlando and Disney, it's all a tourist trap!
I worked at Universal Studios back in the early '2000s.
I-4 is a literal nightmare any time of the year but it's especially bad now due to construction and so many snowbirds are down.
If anything, come to Daytona, it's quiet being there are no big events going on, just don't book a hotel on A1A, they are also tourist traps and overpriced.

I second this if you are in central Florida. Look at Hwy 27, hwy 44, hwy 40 and so on. There is also 17/92 in Deland, a lot of stop and go but downtown is ok because its historic. The Debarry house in Deltona can be a neat stop on the way around Lake Mary. You are not to far from Daytona and/or Bruce Rossmire's Harley Davidson.
