Default 95” FLSTF vs 96” FLHR

I feel like if I lined my King up next to my old Fatboy that the Fatboy would kick the Kings a$$.

Fatboy was a carbed 95” BB, SE204’s, Thunderheader.

RK is running 96” stock pistons, Slip Ons, SE AC, Andrews 48’s.

So let the discussion begin cammed 96” Touring Bikes vs 95” Big Bore Softails.

I’m putting my money on the lighter Softails.

About an eighty pound difference between the two bikes. It takes a bit of power to overcome that kind of advantage, all other things such as gearing, tire size, traction being equal...

Remember if your RK is an 07 or 08 it's higher geared than the fatboy. So it looses light to light but might run it down on the big end. If the RK is 09 and up gearing is the same as the fatboy

09 Road King

I had an opportunity to mess with a Fatboy off the line after installing my cams. Walked away from him but he was running at 88” Stage 1.

Girl on a ZX-6R got in the action a couple lights later and showed us how slow our big twins are against a little 636.

A 95 will beat the he'll out of a 96. 96 or 103 are pretty anemic.

I was not impressed with the 96” until adding 48’s. With that said yeah that 95” was a running a mother f’er
