I recently put a set of hard bags on my classic and purchased a set of Show Chrome fasteners . They did the job . I found that the bolts on the fasteners were way to long , so once I got everything snugged up tight , I cut them just long enough to be flush with the clip . No getting the bags off now ! I hope ..

I use these with no issues. probably not security lock but the do hold the bags securely.

HD p/n 90201540 is for the threaded retainer kit instead of the bail-head pins. Not really a security feature, but that's why you lock the saddlebags.

I simply used nuts, bolts and washers, the nuts on the inside.

I used a torx security bolt. One for each bag and the regular Harley pin on the the other side. Not too many thieves carry a torx security driver bit with them. It’s not theft proof but definitely harder than stock Harley pins.

I too went with this style. The HD pins were too prone to a malfunction. And I lock the lids.

Parts for saddlebag locks (to replace pins) can be bought from Home Depot for a fraction of the price on eBay, Amazon, etc.
