Its the new motor 114 is a much better engine then the 107s the 19s are different with the upgrades to the motor to try and eliminate the current problem. Plus they threw in the Apple Play which only work on the 19 models at this time.

I agree with what the other said. The 114 and the new infotainment will factor into resale if you are into trading up in a few years.

tbob covers it, but to put it another way, the discount on a left over previous year is never as big as the hit on depreciation for that one year when you trade the next time. How long have you kept your present machine? Do you plan on keeping the next one for a long time or do you trade every few years?

I have had my current ride for 5 1/2 years. It's a 14 classic purchased in 9/13. The 18 would be a substantial upgrade from my current ride.

I'd say it would have to be at least 4 grand less before I'd consider getting the 18.

I agree! The '18 should be at least $4k or more less.

As stated you get the 114 and new Boom. The 114 pulls better than the 107. The new Boom speed, easier to see, and ease of use rocks. I've owned both.

You'll probably get support for the new Boom for a few more years. Looks like Harley has given up on updating the original Boom already.

Good luck.....

So I traded for the 2018. Here are the stats and the number, maybe it will make for some good conversation. The bike I traded is a 2014 Ultra Classic, 19000 miles, Candy Orange paint and security, 4.3 boom. The accessories on the bike are a luggage rack, narrow primary cover and glove box lock kit. The bike is equipped with a stage one consisting of a Big Sucker intake, Fullsac Sportpipe Header, Big louie mufflers, and FP3 tuner. Also the bike has had tires, brakes, and battery replaced at 15000 miles. This bike is in excellent condition. The bike I traded for is a new 2018 Ultra Limited, two tone paint Wicked Red over Twisted Cherry. The difference out the door was 14100.00. I was happy with the deal.

Nice color on the new bike. If you are happy with the deal that's what matters.
Which motor, the 14 or the 107?
