batteries
BTW, when you get the battery, clean all connections very well, apply dielectric grease and install good and tight, and that connection should last the life of the battery.

Nothing special about HD batteries other than the label. In fact, in my experience, they've gone down hill. Example: my OEM '03 Heritage battery went 7 years. I replaced it with same HD battery, lasted 26 months. In a pinch, a bought another HD battery for another bike in 2014, it lasted 28 months.....
I believe AGM to be a superior battery design, so I will say stick with an AGM battery, get the proper CCA, and you shouldn't have a problem. But shop around, price isn't the only thing to compare, but sometimes the price is a harbinger of the quality of the components.... good & bad...
Hint: Not all batteries with similar/same specs are equal. 1) When comparing batteries, generally speaking, two similar batteries and one weighs a little more, it will probably have thicker plates = better battery. 2) The battery warranty is the best hint at how long you can expect it to last.

Get it. I did.
I use the Yuasa GYZ32HL at 500CCA on both my bikes.
