Hip replacement
Unbelievable, I got on my FLHTC for the first time since I had my hip replacement 5 weeks ago tomorrow. WOW! So that’s what it is like to ride without pain. Takes a bit to get on and off, but on the bike it there is no pain. I felt I could ride all day. Kept it to 30 min. though. Can’t wait for the hip to heal more. It has been 15 years since I rode without pain. Only people that know, really know what it is like now for me. Can’t get the grin off my face.
Glad to hear it, Fly. I've known several people at work who have had this done and it's worked out for them too. Give it more time to heal and you'll be riding more than the rest of us!
Hmmmmm, maybe I have hip replacement in my future. Sometimes I get that sever pain on the outside of the hip when sitting at a traffic light with my feet on the ground and the groin pull type of pain after a lot of walking.
Glad to hear you can enjoy the bike without pain. I could envy you big time but, I have experienced that no pain feeling just recently. I have been in pain (amongst other things) since 1976. Then I discovered Lehman trikes. My new 2007 FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide is being triked and should be ready next Friday or Monday (I'm climbing the walls waiting). I too don't have pain when riding. I know what you are trying to describe but can't.
Enjoy the ride.
Enjoy the ride.
Thaks for the positive outlook...I have severe Sciatica and a herniated disc, Along with a bad letf hip...But I'm waiting till January to get it taken care of,After riding season and Deer season....Plenty of time to heel up then.....Congrats on the outcome

Come this September it will be 5 years since I had my hip replaced at age 50. I have to remind myself which one I had replaced. Believe me, before long it will feel as natural as if you never had to have the surgery. I would recommend to anyone having hip pain to the point where it's uncomfortable walking, standing, sitting for any length of time, or sleeping at night to have it done.
