I read onmy invoicetoday that under no circumstance will they refund money or give credit for a return. I have a Classic Solo that I have not gotten to fit correctly and have spent all the time I am willing to spend for a $500 seat to make it fit.
Has anyone ever returned a seat to Corbin? If not is anyone interested in buying the seat. This may need to post on the sellers forum but I would really rather return the seat than sell something I am not happy with. Any thoughts on this would be a big help.
Are you positive that they shipped the correct model? The model should be embossed on the seat pan. Corbin seats fit extremely tightly to the bike, and take some elbow grease the 1st couple of installs.
Oh it fit tight. It just took 2 days to get it to release. Got the first notch to let go, had to pry the back of the seat up and squeese a wrench under to take back bracket off. then the second front release came loose after some work. Packed it up, made a post, simmered down and spent another Saturday morning adjust the back bracket but still had to do the same thing to get it off. I just don't think a $500 dollar seat should be that ornery. I am 99.9 percent that it is the right seat. I did not notice a tag on the underside though. I may look again just to be sure.
Also, apparently the seats for the 2007 models are different than those for earlier models. If it is for a 2007 bike, my brother may be interested. PM me.

I had a Classic Solo on my '96 RK for a while, then decided to get the Close Solo to move me up 2". That seat was very uncomfortable from the beginning, so I called Corbin and they had me send it in for a redo. I'm not sure what they did, but it was better, although never was as comfortable as the original. It was within the warranty period (one year) so I was only out the shipping charges to Corbin in CA.
I was going to call them today but got busy in my fish room (bigreef a carry over name from my other money pit) and then riding. I should give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. I think I will like the seat but dang it should be easier to get off than that. They now have a key release and that seems to be where the hang up is. It will not release past the first catch. If you adjust the back bracket any, you have to lock it in to check it and then I am back to prying the back up to loosen the bracket so the front will release. Then do it all again......... Very frustrating!
