P&A IGN fuse location
I have a 2009 Road King that I am installing OEM heated grips on. The instructions say that there is one open side on the 2 amp P&A IGN location in the fuse block, but on mine, there is a terminal in that location with no wire. I removed the secondary lock (orange lock) and tried to release the terminal but it does not want to budge. Is there any trick to removing this so that I can install the switched power wire for the heated grips?
Thanks!
You are supposed to take that wire (if I remember, orange w/white stripe) and insert it into the terminal block in the empty position.
If you look at the terminal at the end of the wire you will see a very small tang (or barb, whatever you want to call it) that holds it in the block.
To remove a terminal from the block you would stick a small flat object (maybe jewelers screwdriver or similar) to push that tang away from the block, and pull the terminal out the back.
You may have to apply slight pressure to the terminal by pushing it from the back toward the front to make it easier to move the tang.
Hope that helps.

I believe the one you are trying to remove is part of a multi-terminal strip, part of the “hot” end.
Check with a meter with fuse out to see which one is hot with the ignition switch in run position.
Then start tracing that orange/white wire to find out what is connected there.
(BTW, the “HOT” wire that feeds the fuse is red w/ black stripe, which could be anywhere along that multi-terminal strip, which is why it looks like it is not connected to anything.)
