Default Homemade/modified laydown plates?

I've searched quite a bit and wasnt able to find anything, hence my post

I have a 1998 electra glide classic. Tour pack is off, and I'd like to now modify the billboard style plate to lay down instead of stand straight up. Does anybody have any pics as to how they did theirs and how it looks now? Could I buy something, or even relocate it below the light, or go the streetglide setup, sure..but I'd rather not. This bike is being done on a budget and I'm handy enough to do it myself.

Just looking for some ideas before I fiddle with it on my own

Used a HD lay down tag mount and a CD lighted tag frame (not shown).

Nice!

My bike is the old style where the plate mounts to the tour pack support. Not sure you can see it in this pic, but trying to modify it so the plate is still up top, just not standing upright

That’s exactly how I did mine. Turned out great. Picked up the chrome frame at auto bone for 6 bucks.
