Never heard of the ROK straps or the Harley soft extensions, will check them out. Thanks to both of you.

Dont panic when lay on flat surface, trunk isnt flat and matched perfect.
I also have this style, had it for about 10 years and it's held up well. I use a bungee net (carry 2 different sizes) to carry helmets, rain gear or jackets. The nice thing about this rack and the nets is you have many options to attach the net hooks. I couldn't imagine having a TourPak without one.

I bought an aftermarket one from pandavillage on eBay for $51. It was advertised as a direct replacement for the Harley one. My tour pack already had the holes in it from previous owner removing the OEM tour pack rack. Quality seemed very good but the holes didn't line up exactly-was close but would have required enlarging holes which I didn't want to do. I sent that one back and ordered one from Harley for twice the money but it bolted right up. I did notice that the one from Harley was a lot lighter than the eBay one. Otherwise they looked the same-just a little off on the holes.
