detachable backrest
Dos anyone have one installed? Curious- do u see any brackets when the backrest is off ??

Nope. You have to look between the saddlebags and the rear fender to see anything, and it's minimal.

As stated by tech2, can't see anything unless you're looking for it and pretty much right on top of the bike.

Like Tech2 said all you see is the mounting studs. I have one on my FLHT and only tack it off to clean it sometimes. I think the bike looks better with it on.

You can't see it. However, be advised that you have to remove the detachable backrest in order to gain access to the valve for the rear air shocks.
