Since OEM pads work as they should, why fool with other brands; especially as so many riders experience squeal. My OEM replacement pads never squealed--and I certainly am no professional at installing them. Plus, I have wide whitewalls and while there is always some brake dust over time, it is not difficult to remove.

When I used OEM I didn’t feel that safe with the stopping power specially in the NC twisties...EBC made my bike stop like it should. Now with Brembo brakes on Post 07 bikes that’s a different story.

Long time EBC HH user here on my '00 RK, I love em. Not to hijack the thread, but I was just recently contemplating the lube vs no-lube on the caliper pins when I was replacing the pads. I've never found the EBC HH pads to be noisy, squealy, or excessively dirty, and I've never used lube or any other anti-squeal mechanism. Anyway, I've always left the pins dry since the manual doesn't say to put any kind of lube on them, and although the performance has been great I've always wondered if the pins and the related contact area on the pads would be better served by some lube. Like perhaps the pads would move better against the pins. I haven't experimented putting lube there because I didn't want to risk getting grease on the rotors. I've never quite understood how grease doesn't migrate onto the pads and rotors, so I'm probably missing something.

its just a film coating so it won’t go anywhere. I’ve always used a Synthetic disc brake quiet lube on the back and pins...not saying it helps, it’s just the way I was shown to do it...

Maybe use a dry graphite spray lube.

.

they are a bit more aggressive yes but worth the stopping power, I go through front rotors in about 40000 miles so it’s not too bad, I buy low mileage take offs for cheap.

Lyndall Z+ Pads, Great stopping, long life and no dust. Will also polish your rotors for free.
