New owner of 2017 FLHTK (Ultra Limited) here. Loving it by the way. I’ve searched two H-D forums and aftermarket suppliers for information on a solution for the passenger floorboard issue. That is, getting in the way of the rider’s calves when either backing up or stabilizing 2-up. I’m looking for a way to relocate the passenger floorboards to move back and in closer to the bike about an inch each direction. Anyone know of an offset adapter that accomplishes this? I saw an adapter from Kury but I think it only adjusts up, down or forward the current position. I already have the more slim FLHTKL Low seat which helps with flat footing but not at all with the floorboards getting in the way. Any other possible solutions other than going to pegs and reducing the wife’s comfort level? Thanks.
Keep in mind that the floorboards will not change the position of your passengers feet. You will need to train your passenger to slide her feet back when you are coming to a stop. My wife still forgets occasionally and my calves hit her boots way before the floorboards.
If she doesn't mind, you can always switch to pegs like on a street glide. Personally I'd just get used to the floorboards. She'll be happier/more comfortable and eventually you will gain muscle memory and you wont even realize they don't hit you anymore.
