Default Need "Sirius" help!

Have the Starmate Replay 4 mounted to my bike...this new model has the docking cradle and the vibration of the bike makes the radio wiggle up off the connections, thereby causing me to loose signal.

Have tried velcro, any other solutions? Right now I have a strap running under the mount around the radio to try to keep it down...looks like crap.

Thanks!
Dennis

I had the same thing before I got a new Sirius Radio. What I did for a 1-1/2 with that docking style radio was sense I only used it on the bike took an put RTV clear Silcone all around the base and put Dieletic Grease on the contact points. The Slicone kept the radio from vibrating loose and the dielectic grease kept good ele. contact. just kept a small baggie in one of the pockets on the windshield bag and when it rain put that over and it kept it dry. Found after a couple years though the radio just seem to start having misses sense upgraded to the Starmate one with 10 min. of playback which has the connections in the body no dock. IT seems to work a little better

This is one reason im still burning mp3 cd's and learking on the board. didnt want the xm and the cost to dealer instal ect. lately have been thinking about putting a sat unit in the saddle bag as an option. of cource then must leave it on one staysion most of the time. still doing some thinkin. already have the hardware(sporster 3 or somethin like that) made 50 hours of mp3 cd's last winter and have not listen to them all more then once.

i got some black rubber bands kinda things, the women use for pony tails. works pretty good on mine. Had the same problem with my first one and found out the "lock" button on the back of the cradle wasn't working (locking the radio to the cradle). Sirius warranteed it, and now i use the rubber band thingys as a bit of insurance.

na, its a pretty good beverage holder from Kruzer Kaddy. isn't on a RAM mount, but has a chrome stud that you can remove the cup part if you don't want it. been great riding, and the only reason we stop, other than gas, is to either view the scenery or let the wife relieve her weak bladder. got a WG to do my bar hopping, this ones for the open road.

Had a Sirius Sportster on my king, but last year outside Green Bay I hit a bump and the thing poppd out of its cradle. Luckily it popped straight up and I was able to knock it down into my lap. After that trip I got an integrated unit for my stereo. I really like it because I don't have to worry about rain now either.

was it Sirius or XM that is integrated. Really like Sirius both in my car and on the bike. But the cradle/radio issue still bothers me. Would really like to have either an integrated Sirius or a handlebar Sirius receiver that doesn't have a cradle which can allow the receiver to vibrate in and lose the signal.
