Coming back from a ride and I'm down shifting to enter my road. I hit the down shift peg and it breaks loose and disappears down the road. No warning, it just breaks off. I could still downshift but it startled me. Anybody else ever had that happen?
Now I'm ordering a new peg. Anybody know the part numbers? Or is there a kit that is better than another you'd recommend.
34611-65A for the stock rubber shift peg and bolt. Many folk swap them out for a design P&A peg set so you may have someone that has the stockers laying around.
Ya, stock rubber/bolt shifters are cheap & HD knows most swap f/their $60 & up bling. I probably have a couple of sets sitting in boxes somewhere too. Make sure you dab some "red" lock-tite on the threads & you're good to go.
