RE: Dfo install in progress, question
Thanks Larry, I ended up putting it on the left side, more room there. I have it set to the factory settings right now and after installing that and the big sucker bike seems to be running great. I will do some research and see what others have set the dfo and make changes from there. The rush pipes are working out great by the way...

RE: Dfo install in progress, question
I put mine under the nose of the seat in the triangle shaped hole in the framewhere the turn signal module is. There is plenty of room there By putting it there, I was able to have the unit out and resting on my console with the seat on and tune the bike while riding. I could just pull over to the side of the road and make adjustments. I was also able to visually see when the pot lights were coming on and going off during my tuning process.

RE: Dfo install in progress, question
Took the bike out tonight for about fifty miles, Question....how come when starting bike the idle goes from lower to higher? What is happening with the computers to cause that..the idle at one point dips pretty low and the bike starts to make a chirping sound. Ran pretty good though, an ocasional pop when shifting and some gurgleing when decelerating.

RE: Dfo install in progress, question
This probably isn't an answer to your question, but it's worth keeping in mind. All the DFO does is ADD fuel at the RPM and load points that you set. It doesn't lean anything or change anything within your EFI computer.
If you don't get the answer that you're looking for here you might contact tech support at Dobeck Performance (the company that invented the DFO)
