Well I got my DTT installed today, Got the TPS and the IAC right where Phil told me to set them up, not a big deal, anybody with a bit of patients can do this. Now all I need is for some of this damn snow to go away so I can hook the computer up to the bike to download the right map and then take it out for a good test run.
Ok after shoveling out about a foot of snow from in front of my garage, then making a path out the driveway I managed to make it to the road. Took the bike around the block (county block) just to make sure it ran alright. Didn't have a chance to get a good basemap readout but left the house with it anyways. It ran about as good as it did with the PCIII in it so I figure give it some time and it should rock. There is a spot that the bike has always had a little stumble and would usually stall out, I was able to tune it out at one time... but then I change the pipes and it came back. So I have just been living with it and have learned how to keep it runningat that point. Today when it went to stall I just left the bike alone and the DTT actually caught it and didn't let it stall out, just that by it's self impressed me enough to trust the DTT more then I did going into it. Now will you southerners please share someof your warm air and melt my damn snow.[:@]
If you can get enough decent weather to do that tuning exercise we discussed, it'll be better than it ever has been. It's really a pretty amazing device, isn't it?
If you havethe IAC / TPS relationship preperly set, BE SUREto use some green (wicking) loctite on the throttle stop and some blue on the TPS screws....
Keep us posted!
Oh yea... I did mention that "you're up" for install & setup support, when the next install comes along, right? [8D]
I kinda figured I might be up for the next istall phone support that is why I documented my work very carefully, I just forgot to take the step by step pictures, but i can do that later with a pointy arrow trick. It supposed to get up to 40 and rain here by Thurs so hopefully i can get it out and beat it up some, I was kinda beating it up abit tonight but didn't want to get to far without knowing the base map in it right now.
I need to adjust my IAC and TPS now............must have got hit or tweaked when I had the motor apart.
I thought I was going to be able to get out for a ride yesterday, but we had 30-40 mph winds and the temps were only about 35*..........so that wasn't going to work for me.

Keep that documentation handy sewerat, I may be the next fool needing help! I have a DTT sitting on the shelf waitng forme to install it. I'm waiting on a backordered Doherty intake kit before I go for it...
