My clutch switch went bad on my 2017 Limited. The whole left side will have to be replaced. Does the switch pack unplug at the top of the handlebars or do you have to run the wires down through the bars?
I took it to my local dealership today and of course it worked fine. It has been an intermittent problem. The service manager said it is covered under warranty and that he would order the part. Good guy! He said that when I brought the bike in that I would have to leave it because wires would have to be fished down through the handlebars and it might take a while. I was under the impression that the switch pack just unplugged at top of bars.

Good guy, yes, but ignorant to an HD service manual. As mentioned before, it is a twenty minute fix with a smoke break.
I've changed mine out when the backlight went out. Easy as hell. They plug in underneath the switchpack cover. No need to run wires.
Keep an eye on where the inside of the clutch clamshell goes. You'll probably have a mark around the handlebar to show you but just in case you can take a sharpie and give yourself a line to see how far onto the bar it goes back.
