IIRC the 07 had a wiring harness for the rear lights on the underside of the fender. any lowering and they will be rubbed by the tire.
A one inch drop can be done with 12 inch quality shocks as I think you have 13 inch air shocks now.

I've had a few guys other places say to put in 10.5 in coil over gas shocks off a dyna on my bike ? Do you know anything about this? And thoughts? They all say they love it (like 3 guys off Facebook)

No one is saying “NO” to lowering the bike. But without telling us your objective, we cannot go beyond what has already been said.

The lower you drop the bike via short shocks, the less ground clearance you will have. Ride quality will progressively suffer due to less and less suspension travel. Lean and thereby turning, will be reduced the more you lower the bike.

So if you want the bike for riding, and especially if you want to carve corners and have a comfortable ride, lowering the bike is not going to give you what you want.

Buy if you want a show bike, just want to look at the artwork you’ve created, and plan to trailer and dolly it everywhere, drop it all the way down if that’s the look you are after.

with a new seat, you can "lower" the bike without any change to the ground clearance or handling.

but the bike is not lower. what has changed is you can reach the ground more better.

lowering the front and rear suspension will for sure change the handling, and not for the better.
if you just ride smooth interstate straight roads, you might not notice.
