one orange and one black wire .
Hi guys,

Just bought a 2011 limited ( my first touring bike ) and while looking for obvious issues with the HK problems I cant figure out where these two wires go. They come out of the harness for the headlight.
Also, There is a black ground wire on the triple tree, but I cant figure out what it actually grounds because when I disconnect it everything still works. Any Ideas ?

Those 2 were not hooked to anything on my '11 limited. I used them to power my amp (Pioneer GM-D1004). Works great!

I think the ground is for the lighter but not positive - pun intended.

 

European wiring hook up.Some guys have GPS's and stuff like that hooked up to them. I have my HALO trim ring hooked up to them.

 

The orange is hot (12Vots+) with the switch on. The black wire is ground. I used them for my headlight halo.

It Is for parking light on 5hd models. Here in Spain is mandatory per example, if you lose the principal light this bulb can help the other drivers to see you....

If those connections are already in use and you want to add another circuit to them, HD has just what you need.
