Back home and some pictures
After 2 weeks on the road and 4100 miles through Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and back to Illinois, I am back home. The Road Glide was a GREAT platform for this journey and never faltered once. I may have to look into an even more comfy seat if I do this kind of ride again. The Sundowner was good, but I think it could be better.
Here are some pictures
Needles Highway SD
Kinda "Self Explanitory"
Spearfish Road, SD
Wyomings rt450 through the National Grasslands Park. 70 miles of the real "Prairie" only saw 5 vehicles over that 70 miles but my Verizon cell had great reception!
Snowy Range Pass in Wyoming, if you are close you MUST take this pass! Just awsome views, but had a slight mishap on the Eastern side at a pub I stopped at for lunch. Gravel lot, slight slope and as I leaned over to kick the stand down the gravel gave way. I tried to hold it but my hamstring snapped bad and I layed it over easy. Got some help getting it back on the tires and besides the bad hammy and a sore wrist, the bike is not even scratched! The first pic is the mountain in th ebackground, the others are from the trip over the 12,000 plus foot pass
My Uncle Ed's last ride up to Echo Lake on the 4th of July in Colorado, he had 21 bikes take him up and a flight of F-22 Raptors flew past just for good measure.
All in all, a great ride. I saw NO RAIN the entire trip on the bike. It did drizzle on 2 nights, but never during the days while on the bike! I can't wait to do this again!!
Thanks to all for the help on sites to see and for my Uncle's last ride, he had a great time

RE: Back home and some pictures
Oh yeah!! I found out the rear pegs I traded for, helped out in a different leg position! I likely looked like a jockey on a horse with the bent legs up behind me, but it helped stretch out those thighs
A friend took a few snaps of this and I'll try to get them and post
