Most fuel system cleaners don' do jack but this Redline cleaner really works. This and a new set of spark plugs and I'll bet you'll
be good to go - just my experience from a real old guy.
My 05 RoadKing had the same issue and it turned out to be a bad spark plug wire. Was intermittent with no set time it would happen ... checked plugs all looked good. On way to Fla. About a 600 mile run it got worse and worse until it finally stopped fireing with about 50 miles left on the trip...no cuts in wire, no signs of wear..replaced the wires with a new set of screaming eagles. Cured the problem...I also thoght it was bad gas as my daughter got some bad gas at the same station i did, she got regular though,
I never felt any misses but would get P1356 & 1358. Changed the plugs and no problems. I use OEM Plugs so I wouldn't have any problem with the Ion sensing.
Like the advise above, sounds like it could be an intermittent electrical problem. Like said above, my buddy had his battery connection come loose and caused something very similar to what you are describing.
TPS but that would mean you would experience a "dead" or wonky spot as you accelerate. I'd check the plug lines first. There could be an issue as they heat up a bit. Could be the coil pack as well. I've only seen it once where it was hit/miss firing though. Obviously whatever is causing the issue is at higher rpm's and a stable throttle. So it could be heat/vibration related. It could also be bad gas, maybe a sticky injector or fuel filter. Higher RPM's running at a constant speed will suck a lot of gas. If you really roll on the throttle from a stop to 5 do you notice any hiccups then? Does it feel like it's running hotter than usual (lean)?

Search here or on google about the TPS fretting inside the wire connector going into the sensor. It's right behind the air cleaner. Another possibility.

Problem is at any steady throttle, be it 35mph or 80 mph. No hiccup from zero to red line as long as its WOT and accelerating. Doesnt seem any hotter.
