Sore palms and a slouched over posture when riding. It’s not ideal or comfortable. I am 5-9 to 5-10 ish. My cousin who has 14’s says go 14’s. but my dad who has 20’s says go 16. So I’m stuck with this decision. I don’t want arms over shoulder length because I worry about losing feeling in fingers. Can someone please help me out with this????

Thank You!
You should sit on your bike and stretch your arms out to where its comfortable for you and take the measurements. It will be different for everyone. I am 6' 2" and went with LA Choppers 12". Perfect fit for me.

That's it right there.... There are tall guys that want/need 12" bars, and shorter guys that want/need 14-16" bars. We're all built different. When sitting on buddy's bike, don't forget the seat height/position or bar adjustment could be way different.

OP, you might want to take a look at this vid:

16's on my current Street Glide, had 20's on my previous Street glide, I miss the 20's. Sit on a few with different bar heights and pick the most comfortable to you.

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!! Sounds like 14’s are perfect. I did measure sitting on the bike and I was around 15 so I think 14’s are perfect. Also does anyone know anything about buying the Blemished Carlini bars? They’re sold out of 14’s.

I have 18's with a chopped down factory seat, and when I say chopped, it has very little thickness to it. i'm 5'10" and my hands are above my eye level. I did have some numbness in my hands the first couple times riding with the bars, but after that I haven't had the feeling anymore.... 9-10 hour rides are comfortable with no issues. to each their own when it comes to opinions on the bar height but having tall bars isn't as bad as most make it seem unless there are underlying health issues that hinder the comfort which in my opinion will happen with any bars in that situation.

I just hope when you install them, you don't say "dang, should have went higher, I guess I'll just deal with it..."

I have an 04 RKC that I just finished putting 16's on. At 6'6" tall, my arms are parallel to the ground.
