I ordered a 8" freedom recurve for my ultra, found at highway speeds I got a lot of buffeting. Called them and sent it back for an 11" to use when traveling.

Ordered a 8" mega curve from LRS. Same issue as above, it was narrow to the point it would not mount correctly. Called them and they are sending me a new one.
Side note, I had spoken with Dakotah at LRS, and he told me that 1 of every 3 shields made are test fitted.

Are you looking over or through your shields?

I haven't heard Clearview shields mentioned. Another brand name I saw was Rifle, supposedly a bunch of ex Vetter guys.

Their explanation.....it must have shrunk.
Or your bike grew.

It's a shame things have gone downhill since the ownership change. I've had four LRS over the years. One had a minor defect. I emailed them and James offered to send another shield at no cost.

that explains the new pricing, I was wondering. I looked a few weeks ago and everything was nearly double in price what it was a year or two back. I know things go up over time, but....??

Not my bike. I grabbed the image from another thread. The poster stated this was the replacement shield he received from LRS, after returning the first one for the exact same issue. There was another poster in the thread that also received the same "shrinkage" response from LRS when he complained about poor fitment. I'm not familiar with the manufacturing process at LRS, but how does a shield, that was originally cut to, let's say 22" wide, end up shrinking to 21"? Doesn't seem possible, but that's what customer service is saying.

Here's my 7" Freedom Shield. Fitment is perfect, and the polished edge is a nice touch.

8" is looking over, 11" is through...

For reference, I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam, and had my seat modified to lower me 1.5 inches...
