Default Rocker arms

Okay, I think this might be a stupid question, but here goes...

so so I had my rocker arms and support plates off and laid out, and one of my kids was curious and picked them up and looked st them while I was away, and now the parts are all mixed up. I had them set out specifically like I took them out, but now I have no idea what went where.....

im afraid to put them back in without knowing if anything is specific. I have the front and rear cylinder still desperate, but the intake and exhaust rocker arms are mixed up. I heard that the intake arm was bigger than the exhaust, but I can’t twll any difference other than one is stamped “B61” and the other “GA”

Come from a ‘05 Ultra. Stock twin cam 88

thabks for any help

The front intake rocker is the rear exhaust, and vice versa. Long as you have the pushrod side on the pushrod side you're ok.

Okay....

so so if the front intake is the rear exhaust, and the rear intake is the front exhaust, then they are the same size right and I shouldn’t worry......

or or is the front intake and rear exhaust different from the rear intake and front exhaust? See what I’m asking?

are all four the same, or are the ones stamped GB different from the ones stamped B61?

I've never removed or installed rocker arms, but my manual says, when removing, to mark rocker arms to note their locations. That would infer, at least to me, that they are different. So are the part numbers.

They can only go in the right way and hit a vavle and a push rod you can't mix up the exhaust and intake . The push rods are what can be mixed up and be wrong, as long as those are in order you'll be good.

The intake for the front could be swapped for the exaust on the back and still work.

That’s what I was thinking as well. I’m stuck until I get an answer to this. If anybody can weigh in with a solution that would be great. I’m ready to continue putting the bike together.

Btw, I am installing the Rockouts.

didnt see your post when I posted mine...

THANK YOU!!!

I was trying but couldn’t see any differences. I was hinting for my dial calipers when my phone dinged!!
I’ll quit worrying and put it together then.
Ha! Thanks

Does't each push rod make its own individual wear pattern in the cup of the rocker? In other words, I was always told to put the push rods back with their original cylinders (don't swap them), so why not do the same thing with the rockers? I'm asking out of curiosity.

That is good practice but his kids mixed them up. So the fact is they will inter change . But most likely will be going back in the same spot as he said the front and back didn't get mixed, at least he didn't think so.
