flashing brake lights
Thanks for the replies. I'll call the Custom Dynamics +2 place in the am to see what else I have to get (.....upgrade to an LED taillight....) and what i have to get to make the tour pack lights flash, too
I also see that my HD dealer sells the Bal+1. The web site doesn't mention any thing about the tour pack
I also have to see which one is American made

I have used both Custom Dynamics and the BAL products....
Both great companies with excellent products. I have received excellent customer service from Custom Dynamics and haven't needed to contact BAL for any customer service yet.....
I use CD for turn signals, load equalizers, and R/B/T modules. I have used the BAL-1 for my brake lights on all but one of my bikes, where I finally tried the CD brake light...
What I like about the BAL-1, is it has 3 running light brightnesses... DOT approved, brighter, and way brighter. I like to keep the running light on DOT, so there is a huge difference when I hit the brake. The BAL-1 also has built in strobe features you can select. All this is contained in the brake light.
The CD is a great stand alone LED brake light, but if you want any of the strobe features you need to add their module. I like to keep fewer modules jammed under my seat as possible... just my preference...
In any case, you can't go wrong with either company or product.....
Big +1 on BAL. I'd noticed the fire trucks where I lived had a really nice brake light pattern of 3 really quick flashes then on solid, as opposed to the constant flashing I saw on some bikes that I think can actually be detrimental to other drivers' attention. Was wavering on BAL with price and once I saw it had the fire truck pattern I immediately ordered and have been very pleased w/it.
Have a buddy that pulled one off his early 2000s RK to install on '15 RK even with the license plate change issue, so I think that's actually +2 on BAL

And the guy with strobe light epilepsy piles into the back of you.
Some cars have flashing brake lights but only when under very heavy braking and also turn on hazards when you are nearly stopped.
