HD BOOM Audio Stage II

Gave myself a BD present, upgrading my '18 Road Glide stock audio, to the BOOM Stage II. Sounds great at low city speeds, but at cruising altitude, sound fades in and out. Replaced my USB cable, tested it with new music player, still fades at 60mph or higher [mostly higher...] Maybe I got a sketchy amp. Any thoughts or anyone have a similar problem ?

Volume fluctuates lower and higher. Not a wind or pipes issue. At 75mph, I can tuck forward behind the Klockwerks windshield and can hear it fade in and out.

Well, in that case have you checked to make sure you don't have a route loaded into Navigation with the prompt volume turned down and the girl keeps telling you to make a u-turn?

Naw, don't have any preconfigured routes in there yet. Only have 6K on it since August. Either down the west coast on 1/101 and up thru central California, or eastern parts of Oregon, Washington, and a wrong turn into Idaho.

Check it just in case. You never know with these new-fangled computer controlled motorcycles. Did you install it? If so, did you have the dealer do the DTII amplifier calibration?

Dealer installed it. Went back and talked to them. They think it has to do with the Speed Volume Control. They wanted me to turn it off and see if that stopped the fading. It did. So, they are talking with HD for a fix. That's what happens when you have 13 yr old write your code.
