Shift linkage

Where is there a C clip on the “rear shift linkage?” The rear arm is secured with a pinch bolt at bottom and nut at top.

The clip is actually on the shift pawl shaft right after the splines for the link. Also it's a snap ring, very small.

The dealers are not Harley . Harley may know what they are doing but unfortunately a bunch of dealers do not.
